  • A rising young star, Jon Rahm signed for TaylorMade in 2016 and has already made waves in the world of golf. Originally from Spain, Rahm attended College in the US at Arizona State University playing for the 'Sun Devils', the College Golf Team. The team won 11 awards during his time there as well Jon himself winning the Ben Hogan award (given to the best College Golf Player in the US) in 2015 and 2016, the only player to ever win the award twice. He held the world number one Amateur status for 60 weeks, culminating in his appearance at the 2016 US Open where he finished as the low amateur and tied for 23rd place. After turning Pro his first appearance was at the Quicken Loans National where he finished 3rd after holding the lead for the first 2 rounds. That 3rd place finish was enough to guarantee him his place at the 2016 Open. Rahm's early success continued bringing him his first win on the PGA Tour in January at the Farmer's Insurance Open, an Eagle putt on the 18th hole giving him a 3 shot lead and guaranteeing him the win. That 1st place finish was enough to elevate him into the World Top 50 and secure his place at the 2017 Masters. Rahm has not hidden his desire to play for the Ryder Cup team, at the end of 2016 he stated that he needed to further establish himself on the PGA Tour but with an early 2017 win and all signs pointing to further success an appearance at Le Golf National in 2018 is not out of the question.
