Phil Mickelson

Phil Mickelson, also known as “Lefty," plays golf left-handed, but he is actually right-handed in everything else he does. Phil first swung a golf club at 18 months, and took to playing the game left-handed, as a child, when he mirrored his father's right-handed swing during practice. In July, he shot a brilliant final round 66 to become The Open Champion Of The Year and capture his fifth major win. He also won the Waste Management Phoenix Open in February and the Scottish Open in July. He is one of just nine players to have 40 or more career PGA Tour wins. Last year, he was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.

Phil and his wife, Amy, have been involved with the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, Homes for Our Troops and Birdies for the Brave for several seasons, helping to raise money for the organizations. He and Amy have three children - Amanda, Sophia and Evan.
