The new Speed Pocket is smaller yet more efficient, and the weight saved allows for a centre of gravity that has been moved lower and more forward. This equates to a fairway wood which produces high launch with less spin to provide extreme distance off the tee and the fairway, perfect for golfers off all abilities.

Speed Pocket technology

The TaylorMade SLDR Fairway Wood features a new cut-through Speed Pocket which flexes upon impact with more efficiency. This improved design promotes increased ball speed for enhanced distance. Due to the improved Speed Pocket design, the centre of gravity has been placed further forward and lower in the clubhead which increases ball speed and lowers spin for a distance enhancing ball flight. In addition to the Speed Pocket, the shallow face provides easy launch and playability with sustained speed off the face.

The TaylorMade SLDR Fairway Wood has been designed with loft-sleeve technology which allows for +/- 1.5 degrees of loft change to allow you to tune your trajectory and maximise your distance. The confluence of shape, colour and visual accents also make it one of the most visually compelling clubs that TaylorMade have ever created. The striking modern-classic shape, charcoal-grey crown and chrome “button-back” all adds up to a remarkably beautiful appearance at address. The chrome button back and crown graphics line up to promote accurate face alignment and inspire confidence.
