Rory has one of the most complete games on Tour today. He was just 19 years of age when he clinched victory at his first professional event, the Dubai Desert Classic, and the win catapulted him to 16th in the World Golf Rankings. He finished the 2009 season strongly, with a T-3 at the PGA Championship.

In 2010 Rory won his first PGA Tour event, the Quali Hollow Championship, carding a course record 62. Later in that same season he tied the St Andrews course record with an impressive opening day score of 63 at The Open Championship.

By the end of 2012, the name Rory McIlroy was on the lips of every player and fan. His accomplishments included winning PGA Player of the Year, PGA Tour Player of the Year, the Race to Dubai European Tour Player of the Year, the Vardon Trophy, the Byron Nelson Award and he also topped the PGA Money List.

Winning the final two majors in 2014, McIlroy became the first European to win three different majors, and joined Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods as one of three to win three majors by the age of 25. Three weeks later, he won his second PGA Championship for his fourth major title.
