AG News: Rose reclaims #1 ranking after Turkish Open win
Justin Rose soared back to the top of the world rankings after edging out Haotong Li in a thrilling finish at the Turkish Airlines Open.
"It is a little better, but I'm still not 100 per cent," a disappointed Victor Dubuisson told Sky Sports News after revealing he wil miss the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth due to an ongoing shoulder problem.
The Frenchman is currently ranked 23rd in the world rankings but has been suffering with tendinitis for some time now, which has ultimately led to his withdrawal from the event. In his place comes compatriot Gary Stal.
Dubuisson, who is sixth in the Race to Dubai standings and a leading contender for a place in Europe’s Cup team, has been unable to compete since withdrawing from the Indonesian Masters last month. This, too, will be another bitter pill for the golfer to swallow.
However, he is hopeful of returning to practice later this week and could play a part in the Nordea Masters when it is held in Sweden next week before heading out to the United States to prepare for the US Open at Pinehurst.
