AG News: Rose reclaims #1 ranking after Turkish Open win
Justin Rose soared back to the top of the world rankings after edging out Haotong Li in a thrilling finish at the Turkish Airlines Open.
Brooks Koepka claimed a huge victory at the Turkish Airlines Open after seeing Ian Poulter fade late on, and he did it using a selection of new Titleist 915 equipment.
The American made some huge tee shots at the Montgomerie Maxx Royal, most notably on the 13th in the final round where he executed a crucial eagle.
Koepka later said he felt his best shot of the tournament came while using the Titleist 915Hd Hybrid, which he hit to the 13th green, overtaking Poulter down the stretch.
It was tough on second-placed Poulter, who also had the new Titleist 915 metals in his bag following his switch to Titleist from Cobra.
“I feel like I've been playing really well. I've been knocking on the door, and these last maybe two, three months, I've been very close over here and in the States,” said Koepka. “I felt like I should have won a couple. But I've been knocking on the door and I've learned something every time.
“To look where I was a year and a half ago on The Challenge Tour and now to be a winner on The European Tour is incredible, especially winning four times there and winning out here, it's very special. So I'm excited. I'm excited to get to next week and hopefully carry my form over.”
