Hyundai Tournament of Champions: Scott and Johnson to Partner after Fans’ Vote
Dustin Johnson and Adam Scott will be paired in the first round of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Kapalua after a vote from golf fans.
Matt Kuchar and Brandt Snedeker were the other options to play alongside defending champion Johnson, but it was Masters champion Adam Scott who topped the pole to create an exciting opening round match-up on the Plantation Course in Hawaii.
Scott will be eager to push on following a wonderful year in 2013, with his maiden major victory, FedEx Cup play-off success at The Barclays and six top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour, all of which has led to his being named Player of the Year by the Golf Writers Association of America, ahead of expected winner Tiger Woods.
"It is an honour to be recognised as the most consistent male golfer of 2013," said the world No 2.
