It’s not often that golf gets sensational transfer news, but tongues were wagging when news broke that management company IMG had acquired the Golf Business Forum and the Golf Business Community from KPMG.
The GBF and GBC are widely regarded as the most established business to business network for professionals within the golf industry and is attended by many of the leading names in golf including Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Sir Nick Faldo, Peter Dawson and George O’Grady .
Although both companies will continue to work on the event in an ongoing partnership, IMG plan to widen the global appeal and content of the event in the future.
Guy Kinnings, Global Head of Golf, IMG, who was a key speaker at the 2013 Golf Business Forum at St Andrews, added, “We are delighted to be acquiring both the Golf Business Forum and the Community, and we are excited to work together with KPMG to enhance what is a flagship event in the world of golf.
