Woods & McIlroy Confirmed For Dubai Desert Classic

Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy will headline a strong field when the Omega Dubai Desert Classic celebrates its 25th anniversary at Emirates Golf Club from January 27 to February 2 next year.

The world numbers one and two join an illustrious list of past champions which includes Mark O’Meara and Joe Maria Olazabal at the longest running European Tour event in Asia and the MENA region. The 18hole stroke play showpiece at the Majlis Course at Emirates Golf Club on January 28 will be celebrating its 25th anniversary and the confirmation of four iconic names in the world of golf, who between them have won 20 Major championships, will ensure an event befitting a silver jubilee

The tournament has been good to Woods and McIlroy. The Omega Dubai Desert Classic witnessed Rory’s first professional win and Tiger walked away with the trophy in 2006 and 2008.

Whatever the outcome this time around the presence of past winners in the Champions Challenge and Omega Dubai Desert Classic will ensure an electric atmosphere and provide fans with a chance to see some of the best players in the world.
