Kaymer enjoying Ryder raceMartin Kaymer insists the pressure of the race for Ryder Cup places will not get to him in the next two weeks.

The German is just £200 outside the automatic selection berths ahead of this week's KLM Open in Zandvoort.

Should he finish ahead of Denmark's Soren Hanson, Kaymer will go into the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles - the last tournament before captain Nick Faldo finalises Europe's team - in the top ten.

The 23-year-old, who won the rookie of the year award last season, claims that he is relishing the situation.

"It sounds weird but I don't feel the pressure. I just see it as a challenge … It's getting really tight, but I'm enjoying it," said Kaymer.

Ross Fisher, Nick Dougherty, Soren Kjeldsen and Peter Hanson also head to the Netherlands knowing that a good finish could propel them into the top ten in the Ryder Cup standings, while Justin Rose and Oliver Wilson are aware that good performances could seal their places in Faldo's team.ADNFCR-1573-ID-18738073-ADNFCR
