Colin Montgomerie has spoken of his desire to regain a place in golf's top 50 again.
The Scot, who has famously never won a Major championship in his career so far, dropped down the rankings recently, but has said that it is time to prove himself again.
Montgomerie also claimed that he wants to continue playing on the European Tour for the next six years at least.
The 45-year-old is guaranteed a place on the tour until 2015 and suggested that he will see this period through.
'I'll be 52 then. If I can get back in that top 50 and remain there for the next six years I'll be very happy, so that's a goal,' Monty remarked.
His comments came ahead of the UBS Hong Kong Open, which started today and involves a strong field, including the Scot.
Nick Faldo, Michael Campbell, Paul Lawrie and two-time winner Miguel Angel Jimenez are among the star names on show in Asia this week.
