This superb driver benefits from new Jailbreak Technology, which essentially changes the way the head and clubface behave at impact to deliver more ball speed and distance. Jailbreak is 2 strong titanium bars (both just 3g) behind the face, parallel to each other and connected on either end to the crown and sole. The size, strength and location of each Jailbreak bar work together to reduce how much the crown and sole deflect, forcing the face to take on more of the load created at impact than ever before. This results in faster ball speeds across the entire face offering more consistent distances, even on miss-hits.
Working along side the Jailbreak Technology is an Exo-Cage design. This titanium Exo-Cage combined with crown and sole panels, made from triaxial carbon, create an unbelievable light and strong composite material. With the heads surface consisting of 46% traixial carbon, the crown weight is just 9.7g and the sole is just 5.8g, resulting in the lightest crown Callaway has ever created. With this incredibly light and strong multi-material structure, this driver provides supreme MOI and low CG that makes it easy to launch with low spin.
This driver also provides shot-shaping control thanks to the APW Technology (Adjustable Perimeter Weighting Technology). The weight saved from a shorter track has allowed the designers to insert a heavier sliding weight (17 grams). This helps enhance the MOI to deliver a full 21 yards of shot-shape correction. You will also gain extra club head speed thanks to the Speed Step Technology. Positioned on the crown, the Speed Step improves airflow to encourage more swing speed and distance without extra effort.
