  • Dexterity:
  • Loft:
    ?

    Loft option tooltip

Loft is the primary factor in the golf balls trajectory. The greater the loft, the higher the ball flight will be.

  • Ping Shaft:
    ?

    Shaft option tooltip

The golf shaft uses the centrifugal force of the swing to generate clubhead speed for striking the golf ball. By picking the correct shaft type to match your swing speed, you'll add distance, consistency and performance to your game.

  • Flex:
    ?

    Flex option tooltip

The flex determines a shaft’s ability to bend during a swing, affecting clubhead speed, distance and control.

Which flex you use will depends on the type of swing you have. Beginners and those with less powerful swings tend to use a shaft with greater flexibility to create more clubhead speed. However, if a player has a high swing speed, they will require a stiffer shaft with less flex.

  • Shaft Length Adjustment:
    ?

    Shaft length tooltip

Getting the correct shaft length benefits you in several ways. We are all different in height and our wrist to floor measurements. Having the wrong length shafts can hinder your address position, stop the clubhead sitting correctly at address & impact and cause lack of accuracy and consistency.

  • Ping Grip:
    ?

    Grip option tooltip

The style of the grip is more often a personal choice but choosing the correct thickness can vastly improve your ball striking and accuracy. We all have different sized hands so take this into account when building your perfect club.

  • Grip Thickness:
    ?

    Grip thickness tooltip

Choosing the correct thickness can vastly improve your ball striking and accuracy. If the grip is too thin your hands will over-rotate resulting in a pull or draw. If the grip is too thick it limits movement of the wrists, leading to a push or fade.

Overview
New for this season come the G425 fairways, technologies which combine forgiveness, speed and optimum spin to deliver more consistent performance.

The G425 Max Fairway Wood Features:

  • Max MOI
  • Facewrap Technology
  • Spinsistency
  • 1-Year Guarantee

Max MOI

The maximum moment of inertia is achieved with the use of high-density tungsten back sole weighting strategically positioned at the rear of the 17-4 stainless steel body to produce more a more forgiving design.

Facewrap Technology

PING engineers have designed this fairway with a high-strength maraging steel face (one of the strongest steels in the world). This thin, high-strength maraging steel face extends into the crown and sole to provide increased flexing for faster ball speeds that result in greater distance and high launching shots.

The crown is highlighted with a new 3-dot alignment system which provides golfers with a visual cue to address the ball correctly.

Spinsistency

This technology was developed with the aid of extensive robot testing and player testing program to bring more consistent spin performance. By using a more complex face curvature mainly lower on the clubface, loft decreases approximately by 2.5º to normalize spin and increase ball speed for more distance performance. So the most common miss-hit shots low on the face will achieve better results.

Adjustability

The hosel on the fairway has five loft and lie adjustments to fine-tune trajectory, +-1.5⁰ (0, +1⁰, +1.5⁰, -1⁰, -1.5⁰ loft adjustments, and up to 3⁰ flatter.

Features

Spinsistency™

A modified roll profile provides more consistent spin, especially low on the face where loft decreases, to normalise spin and increase ball speed for added distance.

Maraging Steel Facewrap™

Thinner, high-strength steel wraps into the crown and sole to increase flexing for faster speeds that result in greater distance and high-launching shots.

Easy To Aim

On the crown, a new 3-dot alignment feature provides golfers a visual cue to address the ball to best match their eye.

Tungsten Weighting

A high-density tungsten sole weight is strategically positioned to increase the MOI for added forgiveness.

Easy Adjustability

Trajectory Tuning 2.0 utilises a lightweight, aerodynamic hosel sleeve that provides eight positions to customise your trajectory for maximum distance and accuracy.
