    Shaft option tooltip

The golf shaft uses the centrifugal force of the swing to generate clubhead speed for striking the golf ball. By picking the correct shaft type to match your swing speed, you'll add distance, consistency and performance to your game.

  • Flex:
    ?

    Flex option tooltip

The flex determines a shaft’s ability to bend during a swing, affecting clubhead speed, distance and control.

Which flex you use will depends on the type of swing you have. Beginners and those with less powerful swings tend to use a shaft with greater flexibility to create more clubhead speed. However, if a player has a high swing speed, they will require a stiffer shaft with less flex.

  • Shaft Length Adjustment:
    ?

    Shaft length tooltip

Getting the correct shaft length benefits you in several ways. We are all different in height and our wrist to floor measurements. Having the wrong length shafts can hinder your address position, stop the clubhead sitting correctly at address & impact and cause lack of accuracy and consistency.

  • Lie Angle:
    ?

    Lie angle tooltip

Lie angle is a factor that affects the accuracy of golf shots. Golfers who use clubs whose lie angles don't fit their body types and/or golf swings are costing themselves strokes. Too upright and the heel strikes the turf first closing the clubface, while too flat and the toe makes contact first opening the clubface.

An “off the shelf” club has a standard lie angle and you can usually choose between ½” or 1” increments upright or flat to custom fit the club to you.

  • Grip:
    ?

    Grip option tooltip

The style of the grip is more often a personal choice but choosing the correct thickness can vastly improve your ball striking and accuracy. We all have different sized hands so take this into account when building your perfect club.

  • Grip Thickness:
    ?

    Grip thickness tooltip

Choosing the correct thickness can vastly improve your ball striking and accuracy. If the grip is too thin your hands will over-rotate resulting in a pull or draw. If the grip is too thick it limits movement of the wrists, leading to a push or fade.

Overview
The intelligent design of the Wilson D9 iron ensures you have more power built-in. Engineers compared various different head shapes and power holes arrangements to give you higher launch and low spin, to optimise distance performance.

The D9 Irons Feature:

  • Power Holes 2.0
  • Ultra-Thin Face
  • Lowest Centre of Gravity
  • 1-Year Warranty

Power Holes 2.0

Wilson Staff has engineered the irons with patented Power Hole 2.0 technology, holes which are placed on the leading edge around the bottom of the sole to deliver more face flexing. This new arrangement of power holes increases deflection and provides more energy transfer at ball impact to increase ball speed for even more distance performance.

Ultra-Thin Face

This hot and more responsive face design increases performance to take your game to the next level. Thinner to maximise flexing to give you increased ball speed performance and improved launch at impact

Lowest Centre of Gravity

Wilson has positioned the D9 iron with their lowest ever centre of gravity to improve launch and spin. This dramatically improves stopping power and provides more workability around the golf course.
