Product Options

  • Dexterity:
  • Bounce:
    ?

    Bounce option tooltip

Wedge bounce is the angle created between the leading edge and the lowest point of the sole or trailing edge. This is the area of the club that hits through the ground as it strikes the ball. The greater the bounce degree, the higher the leading edge is off the surface at address.

Having the proper bounce promotes optimal contact, control and ball spin.

  • Loft:
    ?

    Loft option tooltip

Loft is the primary factor in the golf balls trajectory. The greater the loft, the higher the ball flight will be.

  • Shaft:
    ?

    Shaft option tooltip

The golf shaft uses the centrifugal force of the swing to generate clubhead speed for striking the golf ball. By picking the correct shaft type to match your swing speed, you'll add distance, consistency and performance to your game.

  • Flex:
    ?

    Flex option tooltip

The flex determines a shaft’s ability to bend during a swing, affecting clubhead speed, distance and control.

Which flex you use will depends on the type of swing you have. Beginners and those with less powerful swings tend to use a shaft with greater flexibility to create more clubhead speed. However, if a player has a high swing speed, they will require a stiffer shaft with less flex.

  • Shaft Length Adjustment:
    ?

    Shaft length tooltip

Getting the correct shaft length benefits you in several ways. We are all different in height and our wrist to floor measurements. Having the wrong length shafts can hinder your address position, stop the clubhead sitting correctly at address & impact and cause lack of accuracy and consistency.

  • Lie Angle:
    ?

    Lie angle tooltip

Lie angle is a factor that affects the accuracy of golf shots. Golfers who use clubs whose lie angles don't fit their body types and/or golf swings are costing themselves strokes. Too upright and the heel strikes the turf first closing the clubface, while too flat and the toe makes contact first opening the clubface.

An “off the shelf” club has a standard lie angle and you can usually choose between ½” or 1” increments upright or flat to custom fit the club to you.

  • Ping Grip:
    ?

    Grip option tooltip

The style of the grip is more often a personal choice but choosing the correct thickness can vastly improve your ball striking and accuracy. We all have different sized hands so take this into account when building your perfect club.

  • Grip Thickness:
    ?

    Grip thickness tooltip

Choosing the correct thickness can vastly improve your ball striking and accuracy. If the grip is too thin your hands will over-rotate resulting in a pull or draw. If the grip is too thick it limits movement of the wrists, leading to a push or fade.

Overview
The custom-made Glide Pro Forged wedge has been developed with input from PING professional golfers. It even includes an expanded range of sole grind options to suit every golfer’s game.

The PING Wedge features:

  • Forged 8620 Carbon Steel head
  • Tour-Preferred Shape
  • Friction Face with Emery Blast Finish
  • 1-Year Guarantee

Precision Forged

Precisely made from a piece of forged 8620 carbon steel, with machined wheel-cut grooves for added control and spin.

Friction Face

As well as the steeper wheel-cut grooves the wedge has an added emery face blast which provides more friction. The added surface texture ensures a more predictable spin and launch performance in wet or dry conditions.

Tour-Preferred Shape

The wedge has a player`s profile with shorter heel-toe and through the hosel transition, accentuating the smaller profile to ensure a compact look, that leading golfers prefer.

HydroPcearl 2.0 finish

It also features a premium HydroPearl Pearl 2.0 finish which repels water away from the surface. Reduces friction through the grass, and provides better contact and control with the ball in wet conditions.

Special Grind Options

“S” Moderate Bounce / Rounded Leading Edge “T” Narrower sole, 3° less bounce than “S”, Highly Versatile “EYE2 TOE 59°” Karsten Solheim’s iconic high-toe shaping has approximately 1.5° less bounce than “S” grind and creates a look at address that has appealed to generations of golfers.

Tour Inspired To Inspire All

PING engineers conferred with our Tour staff and brand ambassadors in designing Glide Forged Pro to appeal to players who put a premium on precise, consistent shot making into and around the green.

Compact Profile, Captured Look

The smaller heel-to-toe head, which is forged from 8620 carbon steel, creates a captured look at address, giving you the confidence to manipulate the head and execute any type of shot with maximum versatility for predictable results.

Friction Face

Combined with a precision-milled face and grooves, a new face blast adds texture to the hitting surface, creating friction and more interaction between the club and ball for more spin and lower launch. The hydropearl 2.0 chrome finish ensures consistent results from wet and rough conditions.

Eye2 Toe 59°

The PING EYE2 wedge face profile inspired the "S" grind 59° option, which is distinguished by the high toe design made popular by Karsten Solheim’s iconic sand wedge developed in the early 1980s. It features a blended hosel and a more traditional sole design than the original with approximately 1.5° less bounce than the other "S" grind lofts.

Fit To Your Game

Two grind options, “S” and “T”, in multiple lofts expand the offerings to ensure a wedge choice to match your angle of attack and most common playing conditions.
