  • Dexterity:
  • Bounce:
    ?

    Bounce option tooltip

Wedge bounce is the angle created between the leading edge and the lowest point of the sole or trailing edge. This is the area of the club that hits through the ground as it strikes the ball. The greater the bounce degree, the higher the leading edge is off the surface at address.

Having the proper bounce promotes optimal contact, control and ball spin.

  • Loft:
    ?

    Loft option tooltip

Loft is the primary factor in the golf balls trajectory. The greater the loft, the higher the ball flight will be.

  • Shaft:
    ?

    Shaft option tooltip

The golf shaft uses the centrifugal force of the swing to generate clubhead speed for striking the golf ball. By picking the correct shaft type to match your swing speed, you'll add distance, consistency and performance to your game.

  • Flex:
    ?

    Flex option tooltip

The flex determines a shaft’s ability to bend during a swing, affecting clubhead speed, distance and control.

Which flex you use will depends on the type of swing you have. Beginners and those with less powerful swings tend to use a shaft with greater flexibility to create more clubhead speed. However, if a player has a high swing speed, they will require a stiffer shaft with less flex.

  • Length:
    ?

    Shaft length tooltip

Getting the correct shaft length benefits you in several ways. We are all different in height and our wrist to floor measurements. Having the wrong length shafts can hinder your address position, stop the clubhead sitting correctly at address & impact and cause lack of accuracy and consistency.

  • Lie Angle:
    ?

    Lie angle tooltip

Lie angle is a factor that affects the accuracy of golf shots. Golfers who use clubs whose lie angles don't fit their body types and/or golf swings are costing themselves strokes. Too upright and the heel strikes the turf first closing the clubface, while too flat and the toe makes contact first opening the clubface.

An “off the shelf” club has a standard lie angle and you can usually choose between ½” or 1” increments upright or flat to custom fit the club to you.

  • Titleist Grip:
  • Grip Thickness:
    ?

    Grip thickness tooltip

Choosing the correct thickness can vastly improve your ball striking and accuracy. If the grip is too thin your hands will over-rotate resulting in a pull or draw. If the grip is too thick it limits movement of the wrists, leading to a push or fade.

Overview
SM9 represents Titleist`s most technologically advanced wedge design, making it an instrument of creative control.

The Titleist Wedge Features:

  • Patented Spin Milled Grooves & Micro-Grooves
  • Progressive Centre of Gravity
  • Tour-Proven Sole Grinds
  • 1-Year Guarantee

Patented Spin Milled Grooves & Micro-Grooves

The SM9 grooves are meticulously engineered and cut to the edge to maximize spin and provide superior control on all wedge shots. Micro-grooves are individually cut in between the grooves, to give a better spin on partial shots. The wedge is then heat-treated around the impact area to double the durability of the groove without impacting the feel. Each wedge is 100% inspected to ensure the wedge complies with the rules of golf.

Progressive Centre of Gravity

Each wedge aligns the CG into the impact position of each loft, to produce precise distance and trajectory control with exceptional feel. Using tapered top lines and varied hosel lengths, the Vokey R&D team has raised the height of the CG in the higher lofts, which promotes a lower, more controlled flight. The CG is also forward of the face, resulting in increased MOI, exceptional feel, and a clubface that simply wants to square up at impact.

Ultimate Shot Versatility

Enhanced shot versatility to fit your swing type and course conditions courtesy of Bob's tour six proven grinds.

L Grind - This is the lowest bounce option, designed for firm conditions and precise players. The heel, toe, and trailing edge relief allow for maximum greenside versatility and precision shot control at impact.

S Grind - Full sole with straight trailing edge grind, best for neutral to firm conditions. Designed for players who prefer square-faced shots with a simple technique.

M Grind - For a more sweeping swing type who plays shots from a variety of clubface positions. For players who like to manufacture shots with an open or closed face around the greens.

F Grind - Full sole designed as an all-purpose grind. Ideal for players who prefer a traditional wedge sole.

K Grind - Wide sole with increased bounce and enhanced camber. This high bounce grind is designed for the neutral/digger swing type and medium/soft conditions. For players requiring forgiveness in a wide, full sole.

D Grind - With a high measured bounce,  and versatile heel, toe, and trailing edge grind. This is designed for shot-making versatility for players with a steeper angle of attack.
