Simon Dyson turned professional in 1999 after finishing runner-up in the English Amateur and winning the Finnish Amateur. He then dominated the Asia Tour 2000, winning three times and being crowned ‘Rookie of the Year.’ Since 2001, however, Simon has played mostly on the European Tour, with six wins to his name – including two wins in 2011 – and currently stands in the top 30 golfers in the world rankings.

Simon was encouraged by his brother Nick to take up golf as a sport, and was a scratch golfer by the time he turned 16.
