Born in Oslo, Norway, Suzanne joined the LPGA Tour shortly after turning professional in 2003, following success on the ladies European Tour where she won the 2001 French Open. Her first LPGA Major championship was won at the McDonalds LPGA Championship, and then in 2008 she was the runner-up in two events and finished in the top 10 eight additional times.

She captured her sixth LPGA victory in the CN Canadian Open, and despite not registering a win in 2010, still managed 12 top-10 finishes. Suzanne returned to winning ways in 2011 with two titles, which pushed her up into 2nd in the world.
