It’s all go for January after the R&A and USGA published their finalised Rules of Golf. So what’s coming in? Steve Carroll outlines the changes.
Dustin Johnson switches to new TaylorMade golf irons
Dustin Johnson has used TaylorMade Golf’s Tour Preferred MB Forged irons since their introduction in 2014. However, that doesn’t look to be the case for much longer.
Johnson has found a good degree of success having the irons in his bag the past four years, racking up PGA Tour victories and even winning his first major at the 2016 US Open en route to becoming the current World No.1.
However, the time has come for the American to switch his stock ahead of the 2018 season by putting into his bag the brand-new P-730 forged blade irons.
And Johnson has made an immediate impact with the irons after firing a brilliant 9-under 63 to take a one-shot lead over compatriot Brooks Koepka heading into the weekend.
Looks like this could be the start of another successful partnership for Dustin Johnson.
