TaylorMade-adidas Golf and England Golf confirm new four-year partnership
TaylorMade-adidas Golf and England Golf have confirmed they are establishing a new partnership to help in the support of England national golf squads.
An exclusive four-year agreement has been signed and will commence in January 2015 – with the England national squads wearing adidas Golf apparel and footwear and using TaylorMade Golf bags and accessories when participating in international events. The new partnership also means the brand will be the official supplier of golf clothing, footwear and waterproofs for England Golf staff and its volunteers.
Both the TaylorMade and adidas golf brands are major players in the market, supplying equipment and clothing for some of the world’s best golfers, many of whom were England internationals at amateur level, including Justin Rose, David Howell, Eddie Pepperell, Sam Hutsby and Jodi Ewart Shadoff.
What is England Golf?
England Golf manages the national performance programmes supporting the best amateur players in the country. The company is one of the largest sports governing bodies in the whole of England which looks after the interests of more than 1,900 golf clubs and over 713,000 men and women club member golfers.
Currently the England men’s and girls team hold the Home International titles, while the men’s, women’s and boys teams each reached the semi-finals of the most recent European Team Championships. Individually there has been success too, with England internationals taking the 2013 Men’s and Ladies Amateur and Men’s US Amateur and Men’s European Amateur titles respectively.
