WITB: Marc Leishman - BMW Championship

Powered by National Club Golfer

We take a look at the Callaway clubs which the Australian used at the BMW Championship...

Marc Leishman secured his second PGA Tour win with Callaway clubs since switching from Titleisit at the start of the 2016 season.

And it was pretty much exactly the same set up which he used for his first win as a Callaway player at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March.

Leishman uses the regular GBB Epic driver with the weight moved into the heel position.

He also uses a strong GBB Epic fairway wood set to 13.5˚ and a 21˚ Steelhead XR model. Interestingly he also has a 21˚ Apex UT utility iron in the bag.

Like many Callaway staff players Leishman uses the Apex Pro forged irons from 4-PW.

Now for those of you who are any good at maths, you’ll have noticed that only leaves space for two specialist wedges.

The Australian opts for a Callaway Mack Daddy Forged in 54˚ and still holds on to a trusty Vokey SM6 58˚.

It is likely that he has signed a 12 or 13 club deal with Callaway which leaves space for one rogue model to sneak in.

Let’s hope it’s not a 14-club deal and we haven’t just landed Leishman in it with Callaway…

The ball of choice for Leishman is the Callaway Chrome Soft X which came out very favourably in our recent balls test. For around £30, it’s one of the best-value products on the market.

And we’ve seen Leishman rocking the FootJoy DNA shoes for some time now.
