WATCH: Jordan Spieth’s Happy Gilmore drive at charity event
Despite winning two majors in 2015, some still say Jordan Spieth is not long enough off the tee.
So to prove his doubters wrong the Texan took inspiration from everyone’s favourite golfing movie star to start his round at a charity event in Florida on Sunday.
The 2015 Masters and US Open champion was playing alongside music star Jake Owen in the final round of the Grapefruit Pro-Am at Vero Beach.
The pair had previously played together in the PGA Tour’s AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
And after going through his normal routine, it was to Owen’s and the large crowd’s surprise to see Spieth walk towards the balls and smash it like Happy down the middle of the first fairway.
Owens took to Twitter to post a video of the shot which has been retweeted thousands of times.
It seems there’s nothing Spieth can’t do.
