  • Shaft:
    ?

    Shaft option tooltip

The golf shaft uses the centrifugal force of the swing to generate clubhead speed for striking the golf ball. By picking the correct shaft type to match your swing speed, you'll add distance, consistency and performance to your game.

  • Flex:
    ?

    Flex option tooltip

The flex determines a shaft’s ability to bend during a swing, affecting clubhead speed, distance and control.

Which flex you use will depends on the type of swing you have. Beginners and those with less powerful swings tend to use a shaft with greater flexibility to create more clubhead speed. However, if a player has a high swing speed, they will require a stiffer shaft with less flex.

  • Length:
    ?

    Shaft length tooltip

Getting the correct shaft length benefits you in several ways. We are all different in height and our wrist to floor measurements. Having the wrong length shafts can hinder your address position, stop the clubhead sitting correctly at address & impact and cause lack of accuracy and consistency.

  • Lie Angle:
    ?

    Lie angle tooltip

Lie angle is a factor that affects the accuracy of golf shots. Golfers who use clubs whose lie angles don't fit their body types and/or golf swings are costing themselves strokes. Too upright and the heel strikes the turf first closing the clubface, while too flat and the toe makes contact first opening the clubface.

An “off the shelf” club has a standard lie angle and you can usually choose between ½” or 1” increments upright or flat to custom fit the club to you.

  • Ping Grip:
    ?

    Grip option tooltip

The style of the grip is more often a personal choice but choosing the correct thickness can vastly improve your ball striking and accuracy. We all have different sized hands so take this into account when building your perfect club.

  • Grip Thickness:
    ?

    Grip thickness tooltip

Choosing the correct thickness can vastly improve your ball striking and accuracy. If the grip is too thin your hands will over-rotate resulting in a pull or draw. If the grip is too thick it limits movement of the wrists, leading to a push or fade.

    Loft option tooltip

Power Spec Loft is a fitting option for players looking to boost their iron distance or decrease spin to hit a desired trajectory window. The Power Spec is a custom-designed loft configuration that delivers a power boost in a calculated fashion without sacrificing the integrity of the club’s design.

Overview
Take your game to another level with PING`s longest and most forgiving game-improvement irons. This has been achieved by making the most of a hollow-body construction and combining it with a thin, C300 maraging steel face, high-density tungsten toe and shaft weights which increases the MOI. This produces exceptional forgiveness and a higher launch for more distance and accuracy.

The G710 Iron Features:

  • Hydropearl Chrome Finish with Black PVD Coating
  • C300 Maraging Steel Face
  • 17-4 Stainless Steel Body / High-Density Tungsten Weighting
  • 1-Year Guarantee

Hollow-Body / High-Density Tungsten Weighting

The irons hollow-body construction made from 17-4 stainless steel, allows for an internal geometry design the weight of the position away from the face. This creates a frame for metal-wood-like flexing with high-density tungsten toe and shaft weights to create aroun 5% more MOI to generate extra ball speed, forgiveness and higher launch.

C300 Maraging Steel Face

Another way of generating a higher ball speed is from the use of one of the strongest alloys in the world, C300 maraging steel. This generates twice the amount of face flexing which increased ball speed and for more distance performance. The heel and toe weighting is low and extreme allowing you to get the ball airborne with ease but also with a tight dispersion ensuring you keep the ball straighter more often.

Improved Sound & Appearance

The new stealth appearance at address really does instil more confidence over the ball. Thanks to a new PVD black coating over Hydropearl finish which improves performance through the turf and in wet conditions, and provides a perception of a smaller, more compact head. An application of epoxy just behind the club face further improves sound frequency resulting in a pleasing sound and feel.

Features

Faster Maraging Steel Face

One of the strongest aerospace-grade alloys in the world, maraging steel provides strength and flexibility for launching shots higher and farther. High durability coupled with a machined variable-thickness face make an ideal pairing for distance.

5% Higher MOI

High-density tungsten toe and heel weights optimally positioned in the 17-4 stainless body increase the MOI by 5% compared to the G700, producing exceptional forgiveness for more distance and accuracy, especially for mid-to-high handicaps and slower swing speeds.

Stealth, Hydropearl Finish

A hydropearl chrome finish with black PVD coating provides hydrophobicity to repel water and improve performance through the turf and in wet conditions. The stealth finish also creates the perception of a smaller, more compact head.
