Harman snaps DJ's streak with dramatic win

Powered by National Club Golfer

Brian Harman notched his first PGA Tour win in three years on Sunday following a dramatic 28-foot birdie on the 72nd hole.

Earlier Dustin Johnson, who was in search of his fourth straight victory in as many starts, set the clubhouse lead at 9 under following a final round 67 after making the cut on the mark.

Pat Perez followed Johnson into the clubhouse which left Harman needing to birdie the last to take the title. The 30-year-old gathered himself after a duffed chip shot from the left-hand side of the green saw his ball settle nearly 30-foot from the hole.

Harman, though, stepped up and rattled his effort home to spark wild celebrations and take just his second ever PGA Tour win.
