AG News: Rose reclaims #1 ranking after Turkish Open win
Justin Rose soared back to the top of the world rankings after edging out Haotong Li in a thrilling finish at the Turkish Airlines Open.
Marc Warren won his first European Tour title in seven years following victory at the inaugural Made in Denmark with a final-round 68.
The 33-year-old Scot looked in fine form as he glided to a two-shot win and 9-under victory over Welshman Bradley Dredge.
Warren has endured several near misses over the past few years, including coming third at last month’s Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open and having to share second in the 2013 BMW PGA Championship.
“It feels incredible,” the three-time European Tour champion said. “I felt the last couple of years I’ve been close to winning a couple of times but for whatever reason it hasn’t quite happened for me, whether I’ve made mistakes or someone else has played really well.”
He added: “This summer I feel more confident than I’ve ever done. Today I kept telling myself I was swinging the club really well and I was confident in what I was doing.”
The Callaway player placed his trust in the company’s brand new Big Bertha V Series Driver along with the Big Bertha Fairway Wood, X Utility Prototype, X Forged Irons and Speed Regime 3 Golf Balls. Check out Warren’s full bag below:
