Snedeker Injures Knee in Bizarre Circumstances
Earlier this year Brandt Snedeker was sidelined for six weeks after cracking a rib. Now he looks set to be sidelined due to a bizarre leg injury involving a Segway in China.
The strange accident occurred when the American lost his balance and landed awkwardly on his left leg while attempting to jump off the transportation device at a corporate outing at Sheshan International, China.
According to doctors Snedeker has bruised his tibia and strained the ACL in his left knee, which has forced him to withdraw from the Australian PGA Championship. He has since returned home to Nashville.
The 32-year-old says he will not require surgery and expects to be out for between two weeks to two months. He is scheduled to compete at the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge in California starting December 5, and he’s also pencilled in for the Franklin Templeton Shootout in Florida a week later.
