WATCH: Dustin Johnson gets help from the cart path at Memorial

Powered by National Club Golfer

We all need a bit of luck when playing golf and Dustin Johnson certainly took a decent slice during his final round of the Memorial Tournament.

The big-hitting American sent his drive left into some bushes on the par-4 10th hole and appeared to have no shot at all.

But a little chip out sideways saw the ball catch some of the shrubbery and find the cart path.

It was then a case of watching, waiting and walking patiently behind the ball as it trickled 50 yards down the path to a spot where he could take a drop.

By this point the green had opened up nicely and he had a clear path to hit his third shot to 12 feet.

It wasn’t enough to help Johnson to his first win of the year but could help him get on a roll heading into the US Open this month.
