What hand do you wear a golf glove on?

Can you wash golf gloves?
Cleaning leather golf gloves and synthetic or fabric golf gloves differ greatly, but both materials can be cleaned properly. We’ll take you through the steps to clean leather and fabric golf gloves properly without damaging the materials. After a round of golf, your golf gloves will have gathered sweat, dirt, and dust, so cleaning this off as you play and immediately after rounds will help with the overall deeper cleaning later. For immediate post-round cleaning, pour some cool water onto the golf glove whilst its still on your hand and gently rub it with a towel. Leave it on your hand to air dry. This process may feel strange at first, but this ensures the golf glove doesn’t lose shape and retains the shape of your hand. For a more thorough cleaning after a round of golf, follow these steps for synthetic gloves. Rinse your golf glove in cold water - this time, it doesn’t matter whether it’s on or off your hand. Take a large bowl or basin and fill it with cool soapy water. Be sure to use a gentle soap so you don’t inadvertently affect the material. Worry the water into suds and drop the glove into it, cleaning it and rubbing it gently. When you’re happy with your outcome, run the cold water tap and rinse your glove out under the stream until the water runs clean and free of bubbles. Leave it to airdry for an hour or so on a towel before putting it on your hand and making a fist. This ensures it doesn’t shrink and retains the shape of your hand. Then take it off again, and leave it to dry fully. For leather gloves, you can follow similar instructions, but you need to be far gentler. Leather is a very sensitive material and it is prized because of how supple it is, so extra care is needed if you’re cleaning leather golf gloves. Still use a gentle soap, but be extra vigilant in washing it off, because if any soap is left to dry on them then the material may crack. Wherever possible, please avoid washing your golf gloves in a washing machine, regardless of them being synthetic, fabric, or leather. Manual washing is a lot gentler and you can pay extra attention to the outcome.
What size golf glove do I need?
Golf gloves are meant to be worn tight because they’re intended to improve your golf grip, so any looser and they would in fact hinder it. Golfers tend to wear a glove on their weaker hand, so measure the circumference of your left hand if you’re right-handed and vice versa if you’re left-handed. Every golf brand will follow different specifications and use different thickness of material, so don’t assume you will be the same size across all iterations. If you find that you’re in-between sizes, we would always recommend sizing down rather than sizing up. They aren’t as durable as synthetic leather gloves, so they may need replacing after 6 months of regular playing, but they are a good investment for golfers.
