Z-ALLOY

CBZ Wedges are made from a groundbreaking steel formula that Cleveland spent

years developing. The goal? Zero design restrictions. Our one-of-a-kind Z-Alloy is a brand-new steel with a better feel. It’s softer, lighter, and, so far, it’s one of the few metals made exclusively for use in golf clubs. Z-Alloy is less dense than 431 steel, and CBZ Wedges are 25% softer than CBX 4 ZipCore Wedges. This future-focused approach gives CBZ wedges a superior feel, better forgiveness, and remarkable consistency.

HYDRAZIP

HydraZip is a unique system of face blasts and laser-milled lines formulated to deliver more spin under wet conditions. This pairing of blast media and laser patterns is dynamically configured by loft groupings 44°–48°, 50°–52°, and 54°–60°. Lower lofts receive a less rough blast, while higher lofts are treated with a rougher blast and more laser lines. This combination helps balance spin across lofts, while improving spin consistency in adverse conditions. On the course, this translates to strong, consistent spin on every wedge shot you encounter

ZIPCORE

This low-density core technology replaces heavier material in the heel and hosel area with a lightweight and strong material. This proprietary core allows us to shift the centre of gravity closer to where you strike the ball, while allowing engineers to improve heel/toe and high/low MOI. Altogether, ZipCore helps give CBZ Wedges more control and enhanced forgiveness, which means you’ll get better command, distance, and spin on every shot.

ULTIZIP

UltiZip cuts through with cutting-edge grooves. Sharper grooves cut through grass and debris at contact while deeper grooves help make space for grass, sand, dirt, or water to clear the impact zone. With UltiZip, all that debris channels

away for strong, consistent spin from the fairway, rough, or bunker. CBZ Wedges also feature Cleveland's signature Rotex Milling across the clubface. This dual-pass milling pattern increases friction and is configured in a frown shape, so whether you hit a normal square shot or an open face shot, the grooves are angled in such a way that the ball will be perpendicular to the grooves when struck. Ultimately, UltiZip and Rotex Milling deliver a better bite at impact, giving you more short-game control.

GELBACK TPU

The Gelback TPU, is one of Cleveland's low-key beloved cavity back features, and is back with the CBZ. And this time it’s larger and looks more like metal to better integrate with the overall Wedge design. This specially designed TPU insert sits behind the sweet spot to help dampen vibrations and enhance feel on every shot, so even miss-hits are buttery smooth. Couple that with CBZ’s all-new Z-Alloy steel, and what you get is one of Cleveland’s best-feeling cavity back wedges to date.

FULL-FACE GROOVES

The Full-Face design returns with CBZ. Full-Face allows golfers who make inconsistent contact to receive more spin on off-centre shots.
