The FLX sole grind has been modified to have more heel relief to help the wedge slide under the ball on tight lies, allowing it to cut through the rough better, and glide through the sand smoothly. The back edge of the sole has been given some relief to help keep the leading edge low to the ground when opening the face up to allow better contact when hitting higher shots.
